Football Game Preview: C. Milton Wright Mustangs vs. Edgewood Rams

The C. Milton Wright Mustangs will head out to take on the Edgewood Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

C. Milton Wright lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Harford Tech, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Cobras 45-0. The Mustangs pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cobras had no chance of recovering from.

Jack Sabol looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 103 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in one TD on the ground. Garrett Stiemke handled things on the ground, rushing for 88 yards.

C. Milton Wright didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brandon Tolson and Ryan Stem.

Meanwhile, Edgewood put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Patterson Mill 49-14. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

C. Milton Wright's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

C. Milton Wright might still be hurting after the 40-20 loss they got from Edgewood when the teams last played back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Rams' Michael Robinson, who rushed for 113 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries, and also threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes. Now that the Mustangs know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
