While Gunter's win against Whitesboro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Bearcats 2-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Gunter who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-22.

Gunter's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Whitesboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-7.

Coincidentally, Gunter and Whitesboro will both be playing Paris the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bearcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
