Volleyball Recap: Genoa-Hugo/Karval Comes Up Short

If Genoa-Hugo/Karval was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Peyton on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates fell just short of the Burlington Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Genoa-Hugo/Karval sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 24-26, 31-29, 19-25, 15-12.
