Soccer Recap: Everglades Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Everglades can now relate to. They came up short against the Cooper City Cowboys on Wednesday, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Cowboys are ranked 30th).

Everglades is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10. As for Cooper City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-1 record this season.

Everglades does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cooper City, they will challenge Flanagan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cooper City will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
