Softball Recap: Padua Franciscan Takes a Loss

If Padua Franciscan was riding high fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Beaumont School last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holy Name Green Wave on Monday. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Wave apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Padua Franciscan's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Holy Name, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Padua Franciscan will be playing in front of their home fans against Cuyahoga Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holy Name, they will head out to square off against Elyria Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Green Wave surely won't give up without a fight.
