It was a good run, but Big Spring unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kendall Boring-Gutshall was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Davina Raudabaugh also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Big Spring's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Greencastle-Antrim, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Big Spring didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Chambersburg on the 14th. As for Greencastle-Antrim, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-3 defeat against South Western on the 10th.
