Baseball Game Preview: Eastside Eagles vs. North Oconee Titans

The Eastside Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the North Oconee Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Last Friday, Eastside earned a 6-3 win over Madison County.

Levi Pickett tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Parker Denmark, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Amond Sands, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, North Oconee was not the first on the board last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against Oakleaf by a score of 7-4.

Eastside's record is now 8-16. As for North Oconee, their record now sits at 20-6.

Eastside beat North Oconee 5-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2020. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
