The El Camino Wildcats will square off against the San Dieguito Academy Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Camino is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
El Camino's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Canyon Crest Academy with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Wildcats have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kailey Dain, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Makayla Boone, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
El Camino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon Crest Academy only posted a batting average of .158.
Meanwhile, San Dieguito Academy came up short against Coastal Academy on Wednesday and fell 7-3. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly four runs.
Olivia Besemer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
San Dieguito Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4-1. As for El Camino, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. El Camino hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like San Dieguito Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .328. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
