Basketball Recap: Agua Dulce Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

Agua Dulce came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Freer Buckaroos with points to spare, taking the game 60-41. That's more bragging rights for the Longhorns, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Freer lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Flores, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ayden Ramirez, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Agua Dulce pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Freer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Agua Dulce will venture away from home to square off against Santa Maria at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Santa Maria's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Freer, they will host Premont at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Freer is facing Premont at the right time seeing as Premont is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
