Volleyball Recap: Union Grove Comes Up Short

Union Grove lost against Germantown back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Broncos took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warhawks. The Broncos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-9.

Brayden Lauf paced Union Grove's offense, picking up four kills. Lauf got some help from Asher Gonzales and his six assists.

Union Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Germantown, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Union Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Hartford on the 20th. As for Germantown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Indian Trail on the 20th.
