Baseball Game Preview: Charlotte S Stampede vs. Mallard Creek Mavericks

The Charlotte S Stampede will challenge the Mallard Creek Mavericks at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Mallard Creek took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Charlotte S, who comes in off a win.

Charlotte S proved they can win big last Friday (they won by six) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Palisades, sneaking past 4-2.

Charlotte S saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jandel Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Mallard Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-3 to Cannon. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mavericks have suffered since April 30, 2024.

David Victoria was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Mallard Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Charlotte S, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

Charlotte S took their win against Mallard Creek when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4 score. Do the Stampede have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mavericks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
