Football Game Preview: Plainview Indians vs. Kingfisher Yellowjackets

The Plainview Indians will square off against the Kingfisher Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kingfisher took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Plainview, who comes in off a win.

Plainview proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past North Rock Creek 21-18.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Kingfisher was not quite Anadarko's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 21-14 to the Warriors. The Yellowjackets gained 68 more yards on the day, but it was the Warriors that made the best use of them.

Although Kingfisher took the loss, they still got scores from Brett Calamateo and Jhett Birdwell.

Kingfisher didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hayes White and Carter Stephenson.

Plainview is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points over those games. As for Kingfisher, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Plainview skirted past Kingfisher 15-13 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
