Soccer Game Preview: Vista Ridge vs. Rampart

Vista Ridge hasn't had much luck against Rampart recently, but that could start to change on Friday. Wolves will challenge the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Vista Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

Vista Ridge got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Fountain-Fort Carson by a score of 3-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Vista Ridge were the better team in the second half.

Rowan Wolthuis and Sydanni Bauer scored all three of Vista Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 36 goals.

Meanwhile, Rampart had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They never let the Cyclones get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Considering Rampart have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Vista Ridge's record is now 8-5. As for Rampart, their record now sits at 7-2-2.

Vista Ridge suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Rampart in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
