Pleasant Valley is  a perfect 10-0 against Pocono Mountain West since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bears will square off against the Panthers at 4:00  p.m. Pleasant Valley will be strutting in after a  win while Pocono Mountain West will be coming in after a  loss.
On Friday, Pleasant Valley made easy work of Pocono Mountain East  and carried off  an  11-4 victory. Considering the Bears have won nine matches by more than six  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Kailyn Getz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. She also set a new season-high mark in  hits with four.
 On the hitting side, Pleasant Valley got a  massive  performance out of  Jovie Valenzuela, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  doubles  Valenzuela has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Allison Borger, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.
 Pleasant Valley  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  strikeout total in three consecutive  games.
Meanwhile, Pocono Mountain West didn't have quite enough to beat Allentown Central Catholic on Monday and fell  9-8. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
 Pocono Mountain West saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Liliana Rodriguez, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Emma Covino also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Pleasant Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Pocono Mountain West, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
Tuesday's   contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Pleasant Valley has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Pocono Mountain West struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .458. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Pleasant Valley took their  victory against Pocono Mountain West  in their previous matchup  on April 1st by a conclusive  13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
