Baseball Recap: Exeter Starts Season with Win at Home

Exeter took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They blew past the Lindsay Cardinals 13-2. That's more bragging rights for the Monarchs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cade McElmoyl was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Eric Roach, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Exeter has already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Porterville on the 1st. As for Lindsay, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-6 victory against Granite Hills on the 1st.
