Soccer Game Preview: Lehigh vs. Gateway

The Lehigh Lightning will square off against the Gateway Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lehigh is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Lehigh's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Island Coast with a sharp 6-0 win. That's two games straight that the Lightning have won by exactly six goals.

They hit Island Coast with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lens Dorlys (2), Robert Cocom (2), Richardson Janvier, and Anthony Berrios.

Meanwhile, Gateway didn't have quite enough to beat Estero on Thursday and fell 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lehigh's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matches. As for Gateway, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-3.
