Scott's Branch took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Bethune-Bowman 49-28.

Scott's Branch found their leader in sophomore Trayiona Maxfield, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Janiah Gibson, who put up seven points.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Cross on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Charleston Math & Science out of the water with a 39-12 final score. That looming 39-12 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

Scott's Branch better keep an eye on Lauren Middleton. She was instrumental in Cross' win, putting up 14 points and six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Middleton has scored at least a third of Cross' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierra Wright, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.

Cross is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 3-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.5 points per game. As for Scott's Branch, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
