Baseball Recap: Moorestown Friends' Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Moorestown Friends had lost seven games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. Everything went their way against the Burlington City Blue Devils as they made off with a 13-4 victory. The Foxes' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

As for Burlington City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

For Burlington City's part, Carmelo Thomspon was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Liam Bolton also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Looking ahead, Moorestown Friends will face off against Riverside at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Burlington City, they will challenge Mastery at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
