Basketball Recap: Illinois Valley Central Takes a Loss

Illinois Valley Central lost against Tolono Unity back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tolono Unity Rockets. While losing is never fun, the Grey Ghosts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Rockets are ranked 96th).

Illinois Valley Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Tolono Unity, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 20-6.

Looking ahead, Illinois Valley Central and New Berlin will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Tolono Unity, they and Williamsville will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
