Baseball Game Preview: Eastlake Falcons vs. Montwood Rams

The Eastlake Falcons will take on the Montwood Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Eastlake has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Wednesday, Eastlake didn't have quite enough to beat Montwood and fell 5-4.

For Montwood's part, the team relied heavily on Gabriel Vasquez, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Vasquez has posted over his last eight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Juan Garcia, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Eastlake's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-6. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Montwood, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-2.
