Baseball Game Preview: Ferris Saxons vs. Mead Panthers

For the second straight game, Ferris will face off against Mead. The Saxons will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ferris is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Ferris is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Mead with a sharp 15-4 win on Friday. The Saxons not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2, 2024 (when they won 14-1).

For Mead's part, Jaden Hentges put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and eight unearned) runs off nine hits. Hentges was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Jase Rinck was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

Mead's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Ferris, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.
