Basketball Recap: Annapolis Takes a Loss

Annapolis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lutheran Warriors, falling 69-48. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Simon Hoeft had an outrageously good game for Lutheran as he went 5-for-10 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nathan Yakobe, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 14 points.

Annapolis' defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Lutheran, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-15 record this season.

Annapolis will look to defend their home court on Monday against Henry Ford Academy at 7:00 p.m. Lutheran has already played their next game (against Hope Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
