Football Recap: Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders vs. Bell Bulldogs        
        
		
             Friday just wasn't the day for Old Plank Christian Academy's offense. They took a  blow against the Bell Bulldogs on Friday, falling  35-0. That makes it the first time this season the Defenders have let down their home crowd.
  Troy Howell threw for 74 yards  on five of eight attempts.  
 Caleb Carraway was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards.  On the ground, 
 Leonard Holton rushed for 31 yards.
 Bell found their leader in underclassman  Landin Williams, who rushed for 242 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave  Williams a new career-high in  rushing yards. Another player making a difference was  Kaleb Williams, who rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown.
 Old Plank Christian Academy's loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 2-3. As for Bell, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Old Plank Christian Academy will take on Christ's Church Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Christ's Church Academy will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Old Plank Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bell, they will have plenty of time to enjoy the  victory as they don't play again for a while. They'll take on Bronson at 7:30  p.m.  on October 4th.
