With a playoff win on the line, Providence Catholic rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Lincoln-Way East Griffins. Considering the Celtics have won 18 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Providence Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 27-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln-Way East, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 28-11.
