Football Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover lost against Holtville back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 21-6 bruising from the Vikings. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kadence Toten looked great while leading her team to the win, throwing for 180 yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one rushing score. What's more, she racked up 112.1 passer rating, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Hoover now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Holtville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Hoover didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-0 defeat against Morse on the 23rd. Holtville has also already played their next game (against Mission Bay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
