Baseball Recap: Monroeville Takes a Loss

Monroeville was the 10-4 winner over Port Clinton when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.

Monroeville has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Port Clinton, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroeville will face off against New London at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Port Clinton, they will square off against Rossford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Redskins will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: the Bulldogs will have lost four straight heading into Monday's game.
