Softball Recap: Schenck Comes Up Short

Schenck had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 8-6 to make it four. They fell 15-11 to the Penquis Valley Patriots. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 16-6.

As for Penquis Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Penquis Valley's part, they got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Decker, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that Decker has hit this season. Amara Driscoll was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

As of now, neither Schenck nor Penquis Valley have any future games scheduled.
