The Atascadero Greyhounds will square off against the Nipomo Titans at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Nipomo took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Atascadero, who comes in off a win.
Atascadero barely beat Morro Bay the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Greyhounds put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp  3-0 victory on Tuesday. The  win continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won five in a row.
 Atascadero never let Morro Bay on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11,  25-23.
Atascadero found their leader in freshman  Cara Howes, who  had seven  aces and six  digs. Another player making a difference was  Natalie Becerra, who  had four  digs and three  aces.
 Atascadero  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 24  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted since back in August of 2024.
Meanwhile,  after a string of seven wins, Nipomo's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They came up short against  Arroyo Grande, falling  3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Titans have suffered  since September 2nd.
 While Nipomo was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22,  25-14.
 Nipomo's defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Atascadero, their victory bumped their record up to 24-8.
 Atascadero skirted past Nipomo  1-0 in their previous meeting  back in September. Do  the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
