It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Somerset Berkley Regional ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bourne Canalmen, sneaking past 81-79. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their 14th in a row.

Somerset Berkley Regional got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colten Pacheco out in front who went 9-for-13 en route to 21 points and three steals. Pacheco's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Finnian Bjork was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Somerset Berkley Regional pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bourne, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset Berkley Regional will welcome Falmouth at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bourne, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Plymouth South at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bourne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Plymouth South likes a good challenge.
