Baseball Recap: Burroughs Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hesperia last Tuesday, Burroughs came back down to earth. The Burros fell just short of the Scorpions by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Burros were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Scorpions earlier this season, when they won 10-1.

Burroughs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cael Rivera, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Burroughs has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Hesperia, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7.

Coming up, Burroughs will venture away from home to square off against Oak Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Burros are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hesperia, they will take on Notre Dame at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
