Athens had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Alexander Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Athens pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Alexander, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
