Football Game Preview: Mt. St. Joseph Academy vs. Springfield

Springfield are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Mt. St. Joseph Academy on Saturday at 1:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps state rankings project a close matchup.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-38, which was the final score in Springfield's tilt against Mill River last Friday. This makes it the second loss in a row for Springfield.

Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout to Poultney in their previous contest, Mt. St. Joseph Academy were happy to find some success. Mt. St. Joseph Academy took the contest and then some with a 36-0 win over Missisquoi Valley.

Mt. St. Joseph Academy's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Springfield's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll see if Mt. St. Joseph Academy's success rolls on or if Springfield are able to steal their positive momentum.
