Arickaree piles up the points against Peetz

Recap: Arickaree Bison vs. Peetz Bulldogs

Make it four blowout wins for the Arickaree Bison this season. They breezed by Peetz at home to the tune of 51-20. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-6.

Arickaree was led to victory by RAEYA SCHROCK and JANIYA SMITH. SCHROCK scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while SMITH scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was JULISA QUINTEROS, who scored eight points along with three steals.

Peetz's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skye Lefever, who scored eight points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Gentry, who scored six points along with four steals.

Arickaree now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Peetz, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arickaree will face off against Hi-Plains at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Caelan Church and SMITH. Peetz will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Haxtun at 4:00 p.m. on January 12th. Haxtun is on a three-game streak of home losses, Peetz a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
