Baseball Game Preview: El Segundo Eagles vs. Los Alamitos Griffins

The El Segundo Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Los Alamitos Griffins at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Segundo will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

El Segundo's tournament run continued when they took on West on Thursday. El Segundo came out on top in a nail-biter against West, sneaking past 8-7. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

Ethan Ayler looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Logan Brooks was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Whalen, who scored a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

El Segundo lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Los Alamitos was able to grind out a solid win over La Habra on Friday, taking the game 6-1.

JACK LORENZ looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Los Alamitos saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was SUTTON DENINNO, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. DEVIN PORCH also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

El Segundo's record now sits at 5-0. As for Los Alamitos, their record now sits at 4-0-1.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. El Segundo has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Los Alamitos struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.6 hits.
