Soccer Game Preview: Westland Hialeah vs. Edison

The Westland Hialeah Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Edison Red Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Westland Hialeah's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Westland Hialeah's offense. They lost 3-0 to South Miami on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Cobras are ranked 208th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Edison made sure to put some goals up on the board against Miami on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Stingarees as they made off with a 4-1 win. The Red Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by three goals or more this season.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Westland Hialeah, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5-2.

Westland Hialeah suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Edison in their previous meeting back in November of 2014. Can Westland Hialeah avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
