7A District 7 recap October 22, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 7A District 7 this week, Tampa Bay Tech beat Freedom 22-3. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Titans.
Sickles took down Gaither 48-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ray Ray McCloud III ran for 161 yards in the win.
Deon Cain threw for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Cain put up the best numbers through the air as Tampa Bay Tech beat the Patriots. Cain's favorite target this week was Daquon Green, who caught 3 passes for 90 yards.
6-foot-3 quarterback Cain of Jayson Roberts' team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,618. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jaaron Barrett. The Sickles star has 20 catches for 448 yards.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Gryphons' Barrett goes up against Wiregrass Ranch's Devin Duckett.
At the moment, the Titans are in first, while the Cowboys are in fourth.
