Basketball Recap: Juab Wasps vs. Canyon View Falcons
The Juab Wasps lost against the Canyon View Falcons back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Juab fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 45-43. Juab has not had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Juab still got an impressive performance from Austin Park, who scored 19 points along with two steals. Park is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Another player making a difference was Braxton Hooper, who scored 11 points.
Juab struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Juab dropped their record down to 11-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Canyon View, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Juab will head out on the road to square off against the Rabbits at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Delta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday. As for Canyon View, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Emery focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Wednesday.
