Basketball Recap: Bobby Bettencourt's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tiverton over Falmouth

Tiverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 52-38 bruising from the Falmouth Clippers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 53-41 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Tiverton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bobby Bettencourt, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Jase Kelly, who put up eight points.

Tiverton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Falmouth, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tiverton will welcome Middletown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Falmouth, they will take on Nantucket at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
