Recap: Frederica Academy vs. Terrell Academy Eagles
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Frederica Academy walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 51-28 win on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Frederica Academy sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jordan Triplett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 350 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 62 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Triplett hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Rico Holmes, who gained 120 total yards and two touchdowns.
Defeat or not, Terrell Academy got some senior leadership from William Massey who threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes and Quindon Wright who picked up 164 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Wright's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
Frederica Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Terrell Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Frederica Academy will head out on the road to face off against Valwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Valwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches. Terrell Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
