The Callisburg Wildcats will be playing at home against the Boyd Yellowjackets at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Callisburg and five for Boyd.
Callisburg suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Friday. They were dealt a 91-18 loss at the hands of Ponder. While losing is never fun, Callisburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1223rd, while Ponder is ranked 378th).
Meanwhile, Boyd had to suffer through a rough 78-30 loss at the hands of Paradise. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boyd in their matchups with Paradise: they've now lost five in a row.
Callisburg has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Boyd, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-11.
