Softball Recap: Pelham Gets the Win

Pelham came out on top against T.R. Miller on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 on Saturday.

Rebecca Roy was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Eva Lee was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Pelham and bumps their season record up to 13-16. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs in those games. As for T.R. Miller, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-16-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pelham will face off against Calera at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for T.R. Miller, they will be playing at home against Blacksher at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
