Basketball Game Preview: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Seneca Bobcats

The Greer Yellow Jackets will challenge the Seneca Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Greer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Greer took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Daniel 70-48.

Meanwhile, Seneca had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They rang in the new year with a 67-58 victory over the Bulldogs.

Greer is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Seneca, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Greer didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Seneca in their previous meeting back in February of 2021, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Seneca's Ej Evett, who went 10 for 15 on his way to 23 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be easier for Greer to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
