Pamlico County was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Jones on Tuesday. The Hurricanes never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Sarah Scott made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, earning one run and three stolen bases.

In other batting news, Kylee Morris was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Peyton Robinson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Pamlico County's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Jones, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Pamlico County will have a chance to go back-to-back against Jones: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
