League recap: Trotter throws longest pass in league this season for Walnut Springs

Zane Trotter and Tony Chavez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Cranfills Gap. The longest such play in 1A 6 Man 1 Region III District 11 (6 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 71 yards.

Walnut Springs and the Lions played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Walnut Springs eventually emerging with a 62-58 victory. Trotter threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 69 yards in the win.

Walnut Springs' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Trotter has thrown for 614 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Dillon Rose has 16 catches for 213 yards. Rose leads the league in rushing with 655 yards.
