Basketball Recap: Quitman County Comes Up Short

Quitman County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stewart County Royal Knights . Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-31 back in December of 2024.

Quitman County's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Stewart County, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Quitman County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Randolph-Clay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Randolph-Clay will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Quitman County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stewart County, they will welcome Pelham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
