Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Clinton Central finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell 6-2 to Rossville. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Clinton Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lawrence LaFave, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was LaFave's first of the season.

Clinton Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Taylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
