Atlantic Christian hasn't had much luck against King's Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will take on the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Atlantic Christian will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Atlantic Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Pleasantville on Friday. The Cougars blew past the Greyhounds 15-9. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ethan Costello made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Atlantic Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Seth Phillips was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colton Carney, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Atlantic Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, King's Christian posted their closest win since March 20th on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Haddon Township.
King's Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Atlantic Christian, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Atlantic Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against King's Christian when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
