Baseball Recap: Avon Eagles vs. Midview Middies

Avon had lost four straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-8 to make it five. They fell just short of the Midview Middies by a score of 9-7. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Middies earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Avon got a good showing from Ben Strichek, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
