Mt. Olive hadn't done well against Lincolnwood recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lancers. The Wildcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Lancers, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Mt. Olive never let Lincolnwood on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 27-25.

Alena Graham paced Mt. Olive's offense, picking up six kills. Graham got some help from Libby Knes and her nine assists. Lauren Bailey controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Lincolnwood still got an impressive performance from Ava Walton, who had 17 digs.

Mt. Olive's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Lincolnwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mt. Olive will take on rival Bunker Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lincolnwood is set to square off against their familiar foe Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
