Football Recap: Seattle Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ballard last Friday, Seattle Prep came back down to earth. The Panthers had to suffer through a 41-9 loss at the hands of the Eastside Catholic Crusaders. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Seattle Prep's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Eastside Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seattle Prep will head out to take on Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.43 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Eastside Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Rainier Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Crusaders 7, the Vikings 14.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
